Terms & Conditions 2010
Booking & Cancellation
A £100.00 non-refundable booking deposit will be required to reserve the goods
for your event. Bookings of less than 50 chair covers are not usually accepted.
Bookings must be made on the Occasions Booking Form by post or in person and
must be accompanied by the booking deposit. A booking confirmation will be sent
on receipt of cleared payment of deposit. A cancellation notified up to six
weeks before the event will not attract a cancellation charge. Cancellations
received after this period will attract a charge of 25% of the actual amount.
Cancellations made less than four (4) weeks before the event will attract a 100%
charge of the order. All cancellations must be notified in writing. Custom-made
items cannot be cancelled, and will be charged in full. If we have, for reasons
beyond our control, to cancel an order, we will return in full all monies paid
and undertake to recommend another reputable company. Late orders can be
accepted, subject to availability; where such orders are accepted, full payment
is required at the time of booking.
Loss or Damage
We require a security deposit in the sum of £100.00 which will be returned in
full if all the goods hired are returned undamaged. Lost or damaged goods will
be charged at their full replacement value, no substitutes being accepted by
Occasions Venue Dressing. Damage includes rips, tears, pulls, burns, permanent
stains, mildew, candle wax, and marks resulting from chair covers being dragged
across floors. Replacement charges are;

The hirer may, within fourteen (14) days, request in writing the return of any
damaged goods, bearing the cost of any such return. If not returned to the
hirer, the goods will be disposed of following the 14 day period.
Payment
Payment in full is required six (6) weeks before the event. If payment is not
received by this time, we will cancel the order and notify the customer. Booking
deposits are not returned in the event of cancellation, late or non payment of
the balance. A refundable security deposit of £100.00 is required when payment
is made.
Liability
Occasions Venue Dressing shall not be responsible for injury or damage to
persons or property arising from from any goods under hire, however sustained.
Risk
The risk in the goods will pass to the hirer immediately upon completion of
set-up. It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the goods are fully
covered by insurance in respect of damage, loss, and theft.
